Here is a chart from Dr. Seyfried and his team detailing the ideal ‘zone of metabolic management’ of cancer. As you can see, the goal is to have blood ketone levels near or above blood glucose levels.
Looking at Dr. Seyfried’s chart and my own, you can see that I was able to reach the zone of metabolic management for short periods of time. Diligent tracking of your food and daily testing of your blood is the only way to get there. Good luck!
Remember to track your weight as well. It can be hard to keep up a sufficient calorie intake while following the restrictions of the ketogenic diet.
